“The Mobile MiMi, a non-profit organization, cultivates healthy minds and hearts in grade school students through expert, mobile, and interactive Social Emotional Learning, guided by CASEL-aligned standards that reflect empathy, resilience, and responsible decision-making.”

WHAT IS CASEL?

Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) A nonprofit organization whose mission is to make evidence-based SEL an integral part of education from preschool through high school.

WHAT IS SEL?

Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the deliberate process that enables children to learn and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for: cultivating positive self-perception; mastering emotional control; demonstrating responsible decision making and developing empathy and respect for self and others.

CASEL STANDARDS

Self-Awareness: Understanding one’s own emotions, thoughts, and values.
Self-Management: Managing emotions, thoughts, and behaviors effectively.
Social Awareness: Understanding the perspectives of others and empathizing with them.
Relationship Skills: Establishing and maintaining healthy and rewarding relationships.
